in the picturesque village of Llandrillo near the Berwyn mountains,
not far from Llangollen. We are only an hour from the north coast and the west coast of Wales. The unspoilt market town of Bala is only 10 minutes away, with the largest natural lake in Wales with water sports like sailing, canoeing and rafting. Also nearby is golf, walking, cycling, bird-watching, and fishing, with beautiful scenery in every direction. |
The Berwyn mountains are renowned for wild life, and if you are a twitcher, the black grouse and hawk would be of special interest. Put your walking boots on and walk over Cadair Bronwen to see the waterfall at Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant, which is one of the seven wonders of Wales, and higher than the Niagra falls. The home-cooked food at Y Llwyn is excellent and other restaurants are nearby. |
